Zombie Army Trilogy review
If you can get over the 'tiny tache man bad' theme, then Zombie Army Trilogy isn't that bad a zombie game. You shoot your way through hordes of resurrected German soldiers for some bullshit reason, like literally more substance on the back of a stamp here when it comes to the story.
But the fun is in the gameplay and in that respect it's not bad, you just have to expect very little to avoid disappointment. The kill cams are cool for a little while before they get boring, with a slight saving grace on the rare occasion you shoot a guy and see the exploding testicle x-ray slow motion replay.
Having only played the solo campaign the overall gameplay is very repetitive, again not a bad thing if you're just after zombie shooting fun. The enemy variety is a bit low which does add to the tedium, if they'd have inserted more enemy types I think it could have been a lot more enjoyable.
Some of the 'mini bosses' are easily the highest source of frustration that the game has to offer, as in the strategy of popping the zombies head's by shooting them in the temple doesn't seem to work on them. Or rather it does, but only after the game has come up with some random arbitrary number of times you'll have to hit them in the head before you get the desired volcanic brain eruption.
The ending, like the story, is a complete let down, but like I say it's all about popping them noggins. I would be majorly disappointed if I'd have bought these as separate games, as even combined you can finish them in about 10 hours.
Should I get Zombie Army Trilogy? Overall I'd say Zombie Army Trilogy is worth a play.
