Umarex Legends P08 Luger Pistol Price
So first off the price of a Umarex Legends P08 Luger pistol. I paid around £90 for mine from an online retailer. But there is, as always, more to consider than just the price of the Luger pistol itself.
There is the delivery cost, which is exorbitantly high because of the British regime. On average around £20 - £25 (I have seen £35 from someone, dan saaf, who is just taking the piss).
Then of course you will need steel ball bearings, CO2 cartridges and a pistol case to store it all in. All things to consider if you are saving up for one.
The cheapest way to buy an air pistol will be if you can walk into a local gun shop, as you will avoid the delivery fee. But for the love of God, don't pay to have an air rifle or air pistol dropped at your local registered firearm dealer. As paying £35 pound to some cunt, just so you can pick it up yourself is like having a tattoo on your forehead saying you like taking it in the arse.

A closer look at the Umarex Legends P08 Luger Pistol
Now lets look at the Umarex Legends P08 Luger Pistol a bit closer. The Luger is just under 23cm or 9 inches long. For perspective below is an image of the Luger next to an average sized leather men's wallet.
The Luger pistol weighs 813 grams empty, so it's twice as heavy as your typical full size can of beans.
Umarex Legends P08 Luger pistol construction
The construction of this Luger is all metal and as for the feel of the gun in your hand, this air pistol feels a quality weight and has no sharp edges. Now this is the non blow back version, so there is not a lot in the way of moving parts. One thing that does move is the safety, that you can toggle between the setting of fun and paper weight.
A button on the pistol grip helps to eject the magazine. They haven’t cut corners on this magazine either, as this too is all metal. Just be careful not to drop the clip out of the pistol straight on to your big toe as it will temporarily turn you into Bernard Manning. I know because I’ve done it.

The cover on the pistol grip flicks off to reveal the CO2 cartridge port. Loading a CO2 cartridge is as simple as placing the CO2 cartridge into the Luger pistol grip and turning the little thumb screw underneath, until the CO2 cartridge is punctured.
Now we want to load that clip so we can shoot and this is honestly a pleasant experience with this well made clip. As all you have to do is depress the spring down and lock the tab in this little groove, while you feed the Luger steel ball bearings. Simply remember to unseat the tab and slot the magazine back in.
Should you buy the Umarex Legends P08 Luger pistol?
As for my verdict on the Umarex Legends P08 Luger pistol and whether you should get it or not.
First I want to share a few negatives. The CO2 cartridge thumb screw can cause you to leak CO2 if you don’t turn it fast enough. And the Luger has a fault where you can load a steel ball bearing and it will simply fall out if you aim low or you can have two steel ball bearings fired in the next shot. Not done this myself, but have seen it being done first hand.
The cost compared to what you get is excellent in my opinion. It feels good, is a good weight and is an all metal construction. As for how the Luger shoots and I can say it is very accurate, so will appeal to people who are brand new to shooting and those who are experienced. With all this considered and it being fun to shoot, I would say this is a no thinking required buy, if you are interested in buying one.
Just remember to not drop the magazine clip on your foot and have fun that’s it for now and I’ll see you in you in the next one.
