Is print on demand dead?
Is print on demand dead, well in a word - yes. Anyone who tells you differently is either trying to make money from you by leading you astray with false positive encouragement or is in a position where their meagre earnings aren’t important to them.
Why don't products sell anymore?
Why don’t my t-shirts sell anymore is a common question designers ask. And there are three components to this.
Firstly the entry level to become a print on demand designer is too low, meaning just about anybody can start designing and selling on a print on demand site.
Secondly print on demand platforms themselves have become too numerous while lacking any control over what they offer. Coupled with them not really having anything unique.
Thirdly the customer because of the first two reasons is spoilt for choice and as a consequence is most likely lost to you as a seller.

What to do instead of print on demand?
How can I earn money instead of selling t-shirts you may be asking yourself. Well it depends on your circumstances.
If you want to waste your time, keep pouring hours of your valuable life into sites like Redbubble or Spreadshirt. Earn pennies while they do you over like a clown, if that sounds like what you want then keep doing what you are doing.
If however you have genuinely good products that people want to own, buy them and sell them in real life. Couple that with a website and you have a chance at earning a decent living.
If you want easy money working online, then use affiliate links pointing to print on demand sites. These can pay more than actually doing the work of making designs that people buy.
Outside of these suggestions you have to consider for yourself. What can you give someone that they are willing to pay you for?
