Is CJ Franklin's dad? Roley Game Theory
Watch the original GTA theory video that details how CJ is Franklin’s dad. Yes you heard that correct, Franklin is CJ’s son. And in this GTA video I prove that Franklin and CJ are related, even though one is from GTA V and the other is from GTA San Andreas.
Don’t get confused by others saying Rockstar’s Grove Street Families and this car-jacking gangsters don’t live in the same GTA universe - because they on crack yo!

It's been awhile since I created the GTA V game theory video, which outlined the possibility that CJ, from GTA: San Andreas could be the father of Franklin, from GTA V.
It's done rather well (view wise) with over 2 million eyeballs taking in my little theory, not bad considering I had very few subscribers to Roley Videos at the time.
The sheer volume of comments the "Is Franklin CJ's Son?" video has received, taught me a lot about the gaming community at large and raised some questions. It's those questions I want to try answer for GTA fans here.
So first off, I omitted from the video the fact the voice actors for CJ and Franklin are related in real life. The voice for GTA San Andreas's CJ was done by a guy called Christopher Bellard ( a rapper using the name Young Malay). Well it turns out he is the cousin of Shawn Fonteno - the voice for Franklin in GTA V. I genuinely thought all GTA fans knew this, so didn't waste any time including it in the video - boy was I wrong. It seems the world and his fucking dog had to tell me this fact over and over in the comments - almost as if they didn't read the other viewers comments stating that very fact about a zillion times. The lesson I learned from this is not to overlook what people might find interesting, so as a Roley bonus Shawn Fonteno is said to have knocked out Ice Cube when he was younger and robbed him.

the GTA universes converge at some point
The main thing that stuck out for viewers trying to 'debunk' my theory, so to speak, was pointing out Rockstar themselves have stated the different GTA titles exist in separate universes. To which I would say Rockstar never said that GTA V online would be a bag of wank at launch, but it was - I mostly say that because I'm hilarious. But in fact what I would like to say to the (in all fairness many) people who hang on the 'they are separate universes' argument, is that that point does not rule out that CJ could be Franklin's dad.
Quite simply put, the GTA universes converge at some point, with overlapping locations and characters. Take for example the Grove street families (GSF) from San Andreas. They are directly referenced by Lamar in GTA V, where he has a conversation with Franklin about Grove street formerly being family territory. The conversation moves on to point out that the Grove street OGs have moved on and after completing San Andreas you'd understand why.
San Andreas still sticks in my head to today, it was like being in a movie. Now I know some people get sand in their vagina when you mention games being like movies and that some who didn't play GTA San Andreas first time around, will not understand how you could say something with the graphics of GTA: SA could be considered a "movie" - but it just was.
The whole city falling apart around you, with rival gangs and corrupt police officers looking to kill you, all while you're trying to stop Frank Tenpenny was just fucking awesome. Do you know what, I looked up the ending of San Andreas to see if it lived up to my rose tinted nostalgic memory and it honestly looked turd. No one who looks at that game now, you know when those graphics aren't cutting edge, will think hey that looks pretty good I'll give it a go. I think Rockstar could get away with a hd remake of some of its titles like San Andreas, Vice City and GTA 3. People would buy them, they're just good games that don't look too good by today's standards.

it created a hell of a lot of interest
Speaking of Grand Theft Auto 3, that was when Lazlow the radio presenter, first appeared. One of those glaring facts the 'they're different universes' brigade missed completely. Each time he appears it's slightly different, but he is the same character reappearing in a somewhat same role (things slightly change for him, but you get what I mean). If the different GTA games existed in completely different universes Lazlow couldn't exist, it's really not that hard to understand.
I think overall the video was received really well, it created a hell of a lot of interest around the topic I raised and even those who didn't buy into the idea appreciated the video was good natured, like all my other videos. Despite the games attracting a large crowd the franchise hasn't undergone The Pillard Effect (unless you count it moving away from over the head camera action), so there are still real GTA fans. They've not yet been driven away from the game by screaming Youtubers. Who knows, maybe I'll make a video on GTA in the future as Rockstar still make pretty good games.

Bonus fact! This is the original video that set the GTA community talking about this theory, other scrub channels brought this theory up after me and one even went as far as to copy the thumbnail I made for the video - not one gave me credit.
